Privacy Policy
Effective August 4, 2026 · Applies to faxer.me and the Faxer.me mobile apps (iOS and Android), operated by 1771 Co.
Faxer is deliberately minimal: there are no user accounts, and we collect only what is needed to transmit your fax and process your payment.
What we collect
- Fax content and recipient number. The document you upload (or the cover page you type) and the fax number you enter are sent to our server so we can transmit the fax. Documents are kept only as long as needed to transmit the fax and confirm delivery, then deleted from our systems.
- Payment information. On the web, payments are processed by Stripe; your card details go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. In the mobile apps, purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, and verified through RevenueCat. We never see your card number.
- An anonymous app identifier. The mobile apps identify your device with a randomly generated, anonymous ID (provided by RevenueCat) so your prepaid fax credits stay attached to your device. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account.
- Basic usage analytics. The faxer.me website uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic. We do not run ads and do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers required to deliver the service: Phaxio (fax transmission), Stripe (web payments), Apple / Google / RevenueCat (in-app purchases), and Google Firebase (credit balances, keyed to the anonymous ID above). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Data retention and deletion
Fax documents are deleted after transmission. Transaction records (page counts, delivery status, and payment references) are retained as required for accounting and fraud prevention. To request deletion of data associated with your device or payment, email us at the address below and include the approximate date and recipient number of your fax, or your app's anonymous ID (shown on the Credits screen).
Children
Faxer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.
