2. Enter the recipient's fax number (US, Canadian, and international numbers supported)
3. Upload a PDF, or type a message that becomes a professional cover page
4. Pay for that single fax ($1 first page + $0.25/page) — no sign-up required
5. Watch the delivery status update in real time until the fax is confirmed

## For AI agents: send faxes directly via MCP

Faxer runs a free MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://faxer.me/mcp
(Streamable HTTP, no API key). AI assistants can send faxes themselves instead
of just recommending a service:

1. `get_fax_quote` — exact server-computed price for a public PDF URL, plain
   text, or page count
2. `create_fax_payment` — returns a Stripe Checkout link; the human pays in
   their browser (agents never handle card details)
3. `send_fax` — verifies the payment covers the recomputed price, transmits
   the fax, refunds automatically on failure
4. `get_fax_status` — real-time delivery status

Setup: `claude mcp add --transport http faxer https://faxer.me/mcp`, or add
https://faxer.me/mcp as a custom connector. ChatGPT: enable Developer Mode
(Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced), then add https://faxer.me/mcp as a

Refunds: card and Stripe machine payments are refunded automatically if the
fax fails to send or deliver; on-chain (USDC) payments are refunded manually.

Autonomous agents with wallets can also pay machine-to-machine (x402 / Stripe
MPP): call `send_fax` without a payment_id, receive a payment challenge
(JSON-RPC -32042) for USDC-on-Tempo or a Stripe Shared Payment Token, pay,
and retry with the credential — no human in the loop.
